It was such a beautiful sunny crisp winter´s morning when it was time for
Cherry,
Reef,
Stormy
Tykey and
Turtle
to return into the wild on 5th March 2022 at Dollar Cove.
First out of the trailer was Turtle. They all looked a bit confused as they
slowly went down the beach, but it was not long before they got the idea and headed out to sea. It is
very emotional to attend these releases after all the
hard work the animal care team have done to care and help them through their rehabilitation.
Good luck little ones and stay safe.
The Cornish Seal Sanctuary rehabilitates between 50-70 seals pups in need every winter and each pup costs, on average, £2000 to rehabilitate, not including special cases.
A donation of any size would go such a long way, and help to protect the animals at the Sanctuary that has been a huge part of Cornwall´s heritage and an important animal rescue facility for over 60 years.
