Reef was rescued on 30th December 2021
Reef, a 12 weeks old male grey seal pup, was rescued from Talland Bay in Looe on the 30th of December 2021 by members of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) marine mammal medics. He was found with wounds to his body and very underweight at 15.5kg.

The pup was taken to the BDMLR´s Cornwall Seal Hospital until a pen became available at the Seal Sanctuary in Gweek on the 10th January 2022.

Reef Update - 30th January 2022 : Reef is now in nursery pool number 3 and learning how to dive and swim for fish during feeding time. He weighs 25.5kg.

His flipper tag ID number is SL126 (white).
Update - 6th March 2022 : It was such a beautiful sunny winter´s morning when it was time for Reef along with Tykey, Cherry, Stormy and Turtle, to be released back into the wild on 5th March 2022 at Dollar Cove.
