Stormy was rescued on 12th January 2022
Stormy, female grey seal pup, was rescued from Loe Bar on 12th January 2022 by members of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) marine mammal medics after receiving a call from a concerned member of the public.

She weighed only 15kg, very lethargic and malnourished.

The pup was taken to the BDMLR´s Cornwall Seal Hospital until a pen became available at the Seal Sanctuary in Gweek on 16th January 2022.

Stormy Update - 30th January 2022 : Stormy has now been moved to the outside nursery pools for her next stage of rehabilitation. She is learning how to dive and swim for fish during feeding time. Stormy weighs 18kg,

Her flipper tag ID number is SL128 (white).
Update - 23rd February 2022 : Stormy is now ready to be released back into the wild in the next few days. She weighs 30.5kg.

Seal Release - 5th March 2022 Update - 6th March 2022 : It was such a beautiful sunny winter´s morning when it was time for Stormy along with Reef, Cherry, Tykey and Turtle, to be released back into the wild on 5th March 2022 at Dollar Cove.
