Space Invader was rescued on 11th February 2019
Space Invader, 16 weeks old male seal pup, was rescued on 11th February 2019 from St Ives Bay by members of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) Medics.

The pup´s rear left flipper digit was very swollen with pus leaking out from under the nailbed. Weighed 5kgs and temperature 38.5.

Space Invader Update - 20th March 2019 : Space Invader is in the nursery pool number 4 for his next stage of rehabilitation and to learn how to compete for fish during feeding time.

His flipper ID tag number is 363 (red).

Update - 22nd April 2019 : Space Invader is currently in the rehabilitation pool, he will be released back into the wild in the next few days.

He currently weighs 36kgs.

Seal Release - Photo Credit:  Lizzi Larbalestier Update - 12th May 2019 : Space Invader, My Little Pony, Magnum P.I., Arnold, Kiss and Miss Pacman have completed their rehabilitation at the Seal Sanctuary and were released back into the wild on 10th May 2019 at Porthtowan beach.
