Seal Release - 30th April 2021

On 30th April 2021 the time came to say goodbye to five more seal pups! Crème Brûlée, Dumpling, Halloumi, Kipper and Scampi were released from Dollar Cove that morning, making their way back to their home in the sea.

It´s always an emotional moment saying goodbye to the pups that have been cared for here at the sanctuary, and so rewarding seeing them head back to the sea, free from their injuries and ailments and now able to thrive and live their lives. Little Scampi had been at the sanctuary for a little while, as she had to have surgery to remove her right eye. Now she is fully healed and fighting fit, she joined the other pups in her journey home.

We would like to say a huge thank you to the sponsors of Scampi, Creme Brulee and Kipper, as well as everyone who has supported the sanctuary in their work rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing sick and injured seal pups

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported the Sanctuary, all those who were involved in the rescue and rehabilitation of these pups especially British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR), and of course the Sponsors.

Your support has ensured the Seal Sanctuary can continue to do the work helping sick and injured seal pups receive the care they need and be returned to their home in the sea.
