Taffy, a 6 weeks old female grey seal pup, was rescued on 22nd October 2020 from Sandymouth beach in Bude by members of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) marine mammal medics. She had a swollen and infected wound on her left hock.
She was taken to one of the BDMLR´s holding facilities until a pen was made available for her at the Sanctuary´s hospital on 28th October 2020.

British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) Volunteer marine mammal medics will be sent out to monitor the pup for a period of time and as a very last resort, may rescue the pup depending on the circumstances.
