Hello my name is Grub, I am a female grey seal pup, who at just two days old was found alone on Tresco, Isles of Scilly, on the 10th of May 2025. There was no sign of mum, and I was too young to survive on my own.
Thanks to an amazing effort from Penzance helicopters and the British Divers Marine Life Rescue, I was flown to Penzance and transported to the Cornish Seal Sanctuary in Gweek to receive vital care.
After being cared for in the hospital, I am now feeling much better, having moulted my white lanugo coat and put on lots of weight. I have also learnt how to eat by myself and swim!
I still need to get stronger and put on more weight before I can return to the wild!
