Cornish Seal Sanctuary´s Animal Care Team decided to do a massive seal pup releases as the weather in Cornwall was good and the high tides were on their side.
Members of the Animal Care Team drove to Gunwalloe which is a short distance from the seal sanctuary and managed to release nine pups, Shawn Ellis, Carwardine, Tony Hawk, Mary King, Van Persie, Tiny Tim, Sam Cornelius, Steve Irwin and Bronte back to the wild on 29th May 2012.
| On the 30th May 2012 members of the Animal Care Team drove to the north coast of Cornwall to release five more pups, Paul Watson, Brunel, Diamond, Olaf Schmidt and Amethyst back to the wild.
All releases went perfect and this just leaves seven pups, Amelia Earhart, Paul Russell, Bob Champion, Stephen Fry, Dynamite, Marilyn Monroe and Zircon who are all in the nursery pools, it should not take very long before these pups have put on weight and are also released back to the wild.
