WENDY was rescued on 28th December 1997
Wendy on beachWe rescued Wendy from Nanjizal, near Land´s End, on the 28th of December.

She was underweight, 16kg, and malnourished, with bite wounds to her flippers and nose, and tar from the cove matted in her fur.
After examining her thoroughly, we had to quickly wash the tar off her fur with washing up liquid, otherwise she may have rubbed it into her eyes or mouth.   The toxic chemicals could have done a lot of damage, but she doesn´t seem to be suffering any ill effects.   Even in her poor condition, Wendy was very aggressive when we rescued her, and has proven to be the most difficult pup in the hospital to examine and treat.
