Slash was rescued on 27th December 2012 Gender : Male Location of Rescue : Godrevy Age at Rescue : 8 weeks old Weight at Rescue : 18.5kgs Reason for Rescue : high temperature and netting injury around neck. Punctures to rear flippers. Update - 31st December 2012 : Slash is currently in the isolation pen 3 of the hospital. Click here to see a larger version of the above photo taken on 29th December 2012. Update - 7th January 2013 : Slash is now in the main hospital pen number 4 with Sting. Slash has completed his treatment and is feeding well. Update - 10th February 2013 : Slash has been moved to the outside convalescent pool for his next stage of rehabilitation and to learn how to compete for fish with the other seals. His flipper tag number is 124 (red). Update - 1st May 2013 : Slash is still in the convalescence pool and putting on lots of weight, he currently weighs 35.5kgs.
