Tim Tam was rescued on 24th October 2020

Tim Tam, a 2-3 weeks old male grey seal pup, was rescued on 24th October 2020 from Speikes Mill, North Devon by members of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) marine mammal medics.
This pup was separated from his mum and was found to be underweight, had lots of nasty infected bite wounds on his flippers. He was taken to one of the BDMLR´s holding facilities until a pen was made available for him at Gweek´s Seal Hospital on 28th October 2020.

Update - 31st October 2020 : Once Tim Tam has finished his course of treatment and put on some more weight, he will be moved outside to the nursery pools for his next stage of rehabilitation.
He is currently in hospital pen number 2 and weighs 17.5kgs.

Update - 6th December 2020 : Tim Tam is slowly putting on weight, he is in the rehab pool along with Eliza, Hetty, Truffle and Pork Pie. Once he reaches 30+kgs, Tim Tam will be released back into the wild.
His flipper tag ID number is SL112 (green).

Update - 6th January 2021 : Tim Tam along with Grapefruit and Pork Pie were safely released back to the sea on 4th January 2021 at Dollar Cove.
They have all successfully completed their rehabilitation and are now back in their natural habitat, healed from their ailments and injuries.
