Tamarind was rescued on 10th March 2023

Tamarind, a 4-5 months old male grey seal pup, was rescued on the 10th of March 2023 from Constantine Bay by members of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) marine mammal medics.

He was found lethergic with a low temperature, superficial flipper wound and breathing issues. Tamarind was transported to the Seal Sanctuary´s hospital for care and rehabilitation.

Update - 5th April 2023 : Tamarind is slowly improving, he had loose grey faeces and is dehydrated so the vet has prescribed a new course of treatment.   His flipper tag ID number is SL189 (white).
Update - 16th April 2023 : Tamarind is feeling so much better and is now in the outside nursery pool number 4 and learning how to swim and to compete for his fish during feeding time. Update : Tamarind has completed his rehabilitation and was released back into the wild on 30th April 2023 at Dollar Cove.
