Supergirl was rescued on 1st February 2015

Supergirl, 10 weeks old female grey seal pup, was rescued from the beach at Nanjizel, which is situated one mile to the south-east of Land´s End, on 1st February 2015 by members of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) team.
The pup was found covered in small puncture wounds to her body with a high temperature, swollen front flipper and a deeper gash near her right shoulder. Weighed 23kgs.

Update - 13th February 2015 : Supergirl was prescribed antibiotics by the vet for her wounds. She was moved through from the isolation pen to the main hospital quickly. She is now off treatment and swimming every day in the outside nursery pools. Her flipper tag number is 083 (yellow).
Update - 31st March 2015 : Supergirl is currently in the convalescent pool and putting on lots of weight. The above photo was taken in March 2015.

Update - 26th April 2015 : Supergirl is currently in the convalescent pool, she just needs to put on a little more weight before Supergirl is released back to the wild by the end of May 2015.

Update - 18th May 2015 : Supergirl along with Joker, Oracle, Sabretooth, Flash, Elektra and He-Man
were released back into the wild at Gunwalloe on 14th May 2014.
