Stuffing was rescued on 10th December 2020
Stuffing, a 10 week old male seal pup, was rescued on 10th December 2020 from the harbour´s slipway at Mevagissey by marine mammal medics from the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR).

The pup had some wounds on his belly and eye that were healing, and also underweight. He was taken to one of the BDMLR´s holding facilities until a pen was available at the Sanctuary´s seal hospital on 16th December 2020.

Stuffing - 28th December 2020 Update - 29th December 2020 : Stuffing arrived at the seal hospital a week after being rescued, he was given further antibiotics, his wounds were treated and he was put on a feeding schedule to help him gain weight.

Update - 27th January 2021 : Stuffing is now in the outside nursery pools for his next stage of rehabilitation and to socialise with some of the other rescued seal pups. Also to learn how to compete for fish during feeding time.

His flipper tag ID number is SL123 (green).
Update : 7th February 2021 - Stuffing along with Sprout, Hot Dog, Pigs in Blanket, Haggis, Buffalo Wing, Bubble & Squeak, Guinness and Nacho have completed their rehabilitation. The seal pups were released back into the wild on 6th February 2021 at Dollar Cove.
