Sprout was rescued on 15th May 2016
Sprout, male grey seal, was rescued from Brancaster beach on 15th May 2016 after several members of the public called the Sanctuary concerned by the blood around his mouth. On finding him at the beach it was very obvious he had a nasty case of lungworm and was quite underweight for his age at 24kgs.

Check in back at the hospital confirmed what the Animal Care Team suspected and found some small wounds on his rear flippers as well.
