Solitaire was rescued on 8th November 2015
Solitaire, 2-3 weeks old female grey seal pup, was rescued on 8th November 2015 from the beach at Perranporth by Mike who was assisted by Chris and Annabelle, medics for the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) team.

Solitaire The pup was transported to the Seal Sanctuary, upon arrival at the seal hospital, members of the Animal Care Team carried out a full assessment of the pup.

The pup was found malnourished, weighing 15kg. Also had minor wounds on her flipper, chin and head.
Update - 30th November 2015 : Solitaire is now in the outside convalescent pool for her next stage of rehabilitation and learning how to compete for fish during feeding time with other rescued seal pups and resident adult seals. Her flipper tag number is 62 (blue).

Update - 3rd May 2016 : Solitaire along with Labrinth, Articulate, Hex, Cribbage and Guess Who have completed their rehabilitation at the Seal Sanctuary and were released back into the wild on 27th April 2016 at Gwithian.
