Shakira was rescued on 1st July 2019 Shakira, female common seal pup, was rescued on 1st July 2019 from Hunstanton beach along with another seal pup which has been named Beyonce. This pup was very small and underweight at 8.2kgs. Update - 10th July 2019 : During the first few days in the seal hospital, Shakira was given fish soup with whole fish being slowly introduced to fatten her up. The Animal Care Team are very concerned about this pup who has a nasty infection. She has been prescribed antibiotics but she has a big fight ahead of her. Update - 30th August 2019 : Shakira is currently in the weaning pool with Beyonce and Bruce. She weighs 16kgs. Her flipper ID tag number is M003 (red).
