Schnitzel was rescued on 30th March 2021
Schnitzel, 3-4 months old male grey seal pup, was rescued on 30th March 2021 from St Agnes by marine mammal medics from the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR).

This pup was found with respiratory infection.

Schnitzel - Photo credit : Lizzi Larbelestier He was taken to one of the BDMLR´s holding facilities and stayed there until a pen became available on 1st April 2021 at the Sanctuary´s seal hospital.

Update - 19th April 2021 : Schnitzel is currently in the hospital pen number 1. Hopefully once he has completed his medication, he will be moved down to the outside nursery pools in the next week or so. Currently weighs 22kgs.

Schnitzel Update - 16th May 2021 : Schnitzel is now in the nursery pool 1 to learn how to compete for fish during feeding time with another rescued seal pup.

His flipper ID tag number is SL149 (green).

Update - 21st June 2021 : Schnitzel has been moved into the nursery pool 4 with another rescued seal pup named Stew. He currently weighs 26kgs.

Update - 25th June 2021 : Schnitzel along with another rescued seal pup, Stew, were released back into the wild on 24th June 2021.
