From Left to Right - *Dennis, Marvin and Bertie - male Pygmy Goats!
Dennis had black hair but is much longer. He enjoys playing with his toys, especially his kale feed ball, which keeps him munching for ages.
Sadly *Dennis passed away in early November 2025. He joined the Sanctuary´s paddock family in January 2017.
Marvin has short black hair. Most often found at the gate, he adores getting all the fuss and attention from anyone who passes by - and really loves his head scratched.
Bertie is short-haired and light-coloured with whites and browns in his coat. He loves a cuddle from the animal care team and will nudge their legs if he is not getting enough attention.
Interesting fact - Male pygmy goats usually produce a strong, musky odour to attract females (especially during breeding season), and their sweat gland is found on the crown of their head!
