Seals Delightfully Celebrate the Reopening
of the Cornish Seal Sanctuary

Resident seals, sealions and penguins at the Cornish Seal Sanctuary were surprised for the reopening of the Sanctuary with ice fish cakes!

Each pool at the Sanctuary received a large ice cake, filled with delicious fish snacks in a celebration party for all the animals.

Jana Sirova, General Manager at the Cornish Seal Sanctuary said "We are thrilled and so relieved to have reopened. All the animals have missed our lovely visitors who come to see them, so they are very excited to see people through our doors again."

The Sanctuary suffered losses of over £700,000 during the first national lockdown, with the second lockdown meaning already stretched resources had to stretch even further.

The team are delighted to have reopened, and are hoping to see lots of visitors throughout December to support them through a difficult winter and pup season.
