Poker was rescued on 12th November 2015
Poker, approx. 3 weeks old female grey seal pup, was rescued by Faye, Sarah and Jeff, members of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) team, from the slipway in Port Isaac on the 12th November 2015.

Faye said "whilst rescuing this pup, the wind was howling."

The pup was transported to the Seal Sanctuary via Dave and Dan Jarvis of BDMLR. Fully moulted only weighing 14kg, she had a large wound on her left shoulder and puncture wounds to her front and rear flippers. She is being treated with antibiotics and anti-inflammatories.
Poker Update - 20th November 2015 : Poker is currently in the hospital and will be moved to the outside pools shortly for her rehabilitation.

Update - 1st January 2016 : Poker is currently in the convalescent pool for her next stage of rehabilitation and to learn how to compete for fish during feeding time with other seals.

Her flipper tag number is 64 (blue).
Update - 22nd May 2016 : Poker is now in the final stage of her rehabilitation and will be released back into the wild in the next few weeks.
