Pie was rescued on 14th February 2021
Pie, 12 weeks old female grey seal pup, was rescued on 14th February 2021 from Sennen by marine mammal medics from the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR).

The pup was taken to one of the BDMLR´s holding facilities and stayed there until a pen became available a few days later on 17th February 2021 at the Sanctuary´s seal hospital.

Pie Pie will be moved from the hospital down to the outside nursery pools in the next week or so for her next stage of rehabilitation and to learn how to dive and to socialise with other rescued seal pups.

Update - 6th March 2021 : Following Pie´s short stay in the hospital, she is now in the outside nursery pool to make new pup friends and learn how to eat for herself and compete for food. Pie currently weighs 28kgs.

Her flipper tag ID number is SL137 (green).
Update - 18th March 2021 : Pie along with Mayonnaise, Fish Fingers, Egg and Spud have completed their rehabilitation and were released back into the wild on 17th March 2021 at Dollar Cove.
