Panda was rescued on 29th November 2016
Panda, male grey seal pup, was rescued on 29th November 2016 at Porthkidney beach near Lelant by members of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) team.

He was found to be malmourished. The pup was transported back to the seal hospital for rehabilitation.
Panda Update - 1st January 2017 : Panda has been moved down from the hospital where he had received treatment. He is gaining weight and learning how to compete for fish with other rescued seal pups in the nursery pool before moving to the convalescent pool for his final stage of rehabilitation.

Panda´s flipper tag number is 315 (white).

Update - 1st March 2017 : Panda has completed his rehabilitation and will be released back to the wild very soon once the weather has improved.

Update - 31st March 2017 : Panda along with Polar Bear, Penguin, Merlin and Arctic Fox were all released back to the wild at Porthtowan Beach on 24th March 2017.
