Meet Odin (Õðinn in Icelandic)...He is the chatterbox of the colony, Odin may have lost an eye to a mishap, but his enthusiasm for life knows no bounds. Always eager for enrichment and play, he is a testament to resilience and joy!
Odin´s ID tag colour ring is Black.
Odin was rescued in 2018 and rehabilitated at the Beluga Whale Sanctuary & Puffin Rescue Centre in Iceland. Unfortunately he cannot be released back into the wild.
He was relocated to the Cornish Seal Sanctuary in April 2024 to create space for the Iceland Sanctuary to continue their vital rehabilitation work.
Despite his injury, Odin´s confidence remains undiminished! He is usually the first in line for feeding, often hopping onto the keepers´ laps or demanding attention with his loud puffin calls.
Odinn loves to explore and is always the first to check out new objects, whether its a keepers´s shoe, an enrichment toy, or a passing visitor.
Since his arrival at Puffin Island, Odinn has been charming the ladies with his smooth moves, often presenting them with fish and sticks...What a charmer!
