Nurdle was rescued on 5th February 2022
Nurdle, a 4 months old male grey seal pup, was rescued from Chapel Porth beach, St Agnes, on 5th February 2022 by members of British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) marine mammal medics.

He was found with a nasty infected left hock, a high temperature of 38.2° and weighed 26.5kg.

Nurdle Update - 24th February 2022 : Nurdle is doing well in the hospital and he currently weighs 23kg.

Update - 6th March 2022 : Nurdle was moved down to the outside nursery pool for his next stage of rehabiliation and to learn how to compete for fish during feeding time with the other rescued seal pups. He currently weighs 29kg.

His flipper tag ID number is SL133 (white).

Seal Release - 21st March 2022 Update - 22nd March 2022 : Nurdle along with Crabs and Rockfish have completed their rehabilitation and were released back into the wild on 21st March 2022 at Porthtowan beach.
