Noddy was rescued on 1st October 2019
Noddy, 4 weeks old male common seal pup, rescued from Porth beach on 1st October 2019 by members of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) Medics and relayed to Gweek for treatment and rehabilitation.

This pup was found malnourished with a high temperature.
Noddy Update - 13th October 2019 : Noddy is currently in the hospital pen number 1 and will be moved down to the outside pools in the next couple of weeks for his next stage of rehabilitation. He weighs 15.5kgs.

His flipper tag ID number is SL192 (yellow).

Update - 22nd November 2019 : Noddy is in the outside nursery pool 2 with other rescued seal pups. He is slowly putting weight on.

Update - 1st January 2020 : Noddy was released back into the wild on 30th December 2019 at Dollar Cove along with Hungry Caterpillar, Lyra, Smegol, Pablo, Katniss and Pippin.

Noddy was a bit reluctant to leave the comfort of the trailer as the sea looked threatening but it wasn´t too long before he was...gone!
