Rescued Seal Pups
Jar Jar Binks, male grey seal, was rescued on 5th March 2017 from West Runton, weighing 20kgs. He had lots of blood around his mouth and suspected a facial injury or worms.

Emperor Palpatine, male grey seal, came in on 14th March 2017 from Eccles On Sea, weighing 30kgs. He has a nasty lungworm case with some wounds to his back flippers.
| The pup also had some hair loss from a previous pox infection.

If You Discover a
Seal Pup in the Wild!
If you should discover a seal pup that seems to be in distress, or is alone, what you do next could mean the difference between life and death for the animal.
DO keep your distance; DON´T attempt to handle the pup; DON´T attempt to put the pup in the sea;
DON´T ignore the situation;
DO tell the appropriate organisation.

| The Animal Care Team are on call around the clock to race to the rescue of seal pups in trouble anywhere around the coast.
Back at the Sanctuary, pups receive expert veterinary care and are gradually weaned from a liquid diet to whole fish in the purpose built hospital.
Then it´s to the outdoor pools to gain weight and build strength and stamina ready to resume life in the wild.
