Rescued Seal Pups
The rescued seal pups are doing well and putting on lots of weight. Click on the names below to see photos of the pups taken on 9th August 2015.

Once the rescued pups are outside in the seal enclosure pool it is very difficult to tell them apart, unless you can see their flipper tag numbers and/or look at each seal closely for different markings. Sorry if we haven´t got a photo of your favourite pup this time on here.
| This month saw the arrival of two more rescued common seal pups.
A 3 week old female Common Seal pup was rescued at Holme Dunes on 3rd August 2015 by Nat, a member of the Animal Care Team. The pup was found to be lethargic and skinny. Weighed 13kgs upon arrival at the seal hospital.
A Common Seal pup was found on the beach at Brancaster Staithe on 9th August 2015 by members of the public, Lorraine and her daughter Tiachannay. They had gone for a walk along the beach and came across the pup, Lorraine and Tiachannay observed the pup for an hour then contacted the Animal Care Team at Hunstanton. Lorraine said "So pleased I had my mobile phone with us when we went for a stroll alone the beach".

| Tyne´s Pup
This photo of Tyne´s pup was taken on 9th August 2015, he/she was still suckling from it´s mum in the resident seal pool.
As part of the weaning process the pup was moved into the hospital so the Animal Care Team can keep an eye and encourage the pup to eat fish.

| The Octonauts
The Octonauts will be coming back to the Hunstanton SEA LIFE Sanctuary between 5th and 27th September 2015.
Young fans of the TV show will be excited to meet The Octonauts, who are part of the team of undersea adventure heros from CBeebies. A visit from Kwazii, Peso or Captain Barnacles (Character visit depends on location).
