Mr Bump was rescued on 14th December 2019
Mr Bump, 8-10 weeks old male grey seal pup, was rescued on 14th December 2019 from Porthkidney beach by members of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) Medics.

He was exhausted after struggling with rough weather and had some nasty injuries on his head and an ulcerated right eye. The Animal Care Team thinks he may have been bashed against the rocks in the rough seas. Weighed 19kgs.

Mr Bump Update - 29th December 2019 : The vet prescribed Mr Bump with a course of antibiotics and some pain relief when he first arrived at the hospital, this made him feel so much better after a few days. Also had a course of medicated eye drops to clear the ulcer in his eye. Once the ulcer has healed, he can be moved down to the outside nursery pools for his next stage of rehabilitation.

Update - 1st January 2020 : Mr Bump was moved down to the nursery pool 4 for his next stage of rehabilitation. He will learn how to dive and to compete for fish with other rescued seal pups during feeding time.

His flipper tag ID number is SL133 (yellow).

Seal Release Update - 23rd January 2020 : Mr Bump along with Mrs Tiggy Winkle, Aslan, Mr Darcy, Wally, Cruella de Vil and Joker were released back into the wild at Dollar Cove on 20th January 2020.
