Moon Jellyfish was rescued on 1st March 2022
Moon Jellyfish, a 4-6 months old female grey seal pup, was rescued from Carbis Bay on 1st March 2022 by members of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) marine mammal medics.

The pup was taken to the BDMLR´s Cornwall Seal Hospital for the night and then transported the next day to the Seal Sanctuary in Gweek.

The pup came in underweight, very malnourished, dehydrated with respiratory breathing and wormy diarrhoea.

Update - 3rd April 2022 : Moon Jellyfish is now in the nursery pool 4 for her next stage of rehabilitation and to learn how to compete for fish during feeding time.

Her flipper tag ID number is SL140 (white).

Seal Release Update - 14th April 2022 : Moon Jellyfish along with Clam, Cockle, Iceberg, Shrimp and Wobbegong were released back into the wild on 13th April 2022 at Porthtowan beach.
