Update - 31st December 2022 : Miso was found malnourished with a wound on her right shoulder and a respiratory infection. She has been prescribed a course of antibiotics and daily wound cleaning.   Once Miso´s wound is healed and off treatment, she will be ready to be moved outside to the nursery pools and socialise with other seals.   She currently weighs 14.5kg.   These photos below were taken on the 27th of December 2022.
Update - 22nd January 2023 : Miso is learning how to swim and compete for fish during feeding time. Once she has put on a bit more weight, she will be released back into the wild.   These photos below were taken on the 21st of January 2023 in the nursery pool.

Her flipper tag ID number is SL167 (white).
Update - 3rd February 2023 : Miso was moved into the rehab pool on 1st February 2023 which is the final stage for rehabbing pups. She is a little nervous at the moment in her new temporary accommodation and can often be quite shy with the other seal pups.

She will only enjoy her fish if she can have it at the opposite end of the pool without her pool mates around. The animal care team hope that Miso will be able to come out of her shell soon so she can join in playing with the other seal pups!??
Update - 6th February 2023 : Miso has completed her rehabilitation at the Cornish Seal Sanctuary and was released back into the wild on 6th February 2023 at Kennack Sands.
