Maude was rescued on 1st January 2022
Maude, a 12 weeks old female grey seal pup, was rescued from Trevaunance Cove in St Agnes on 1st January 2022 by members of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) marine mammal medics. She was found with a respiratory infection and very skinny for her age.

The pup was taken to the BDMLR´s Cornwall Seal Hospital until a pen became available at the Seal Sanctuary in Gweek on 10th January 2022.

Maude Update - 30th January 2022 : Maude is currently in the rehabilitation pool and weighs 23kg, she just needs to put on some weight before being released back in the wild.

Her flipper ID tag number is SL127 (white).
Update - 28th February 2022 : Maude along with Roni, Bailey, Kelp, Verity and Squid have completed their rehabilitation and it was time for them to go home.

A big thank you to two of the Sanctuary´s Ambassadors @lucierosedonlan and @lukemabbott! They joined the team on Sunday 27th February 2022 at Dollar Cove and helped to release 6 grey seal pups back to the sea.
