Manatee was rescued on 21st September 2016
Manatee, 4 weeks old female grey seal pup, was rescued on 21st September 2016 from the beach at Constantine near Padstow.

The pup was found to have an upper respiratory infection.
Manatee Update - 2nd October 2016 : Manatee has responded well to treatment and breathing is much better.

She is now in the outside nursery pool for the next stage of rehabilitation and to learn how to compete for fish with other rescued seal pups.

Manatee´s flipper tag number is 303 (white).

Update - 20th November 2016 : Manatee is now in the convalescent pool for her final stage of rehabilitation and will be released back to the wild in the next month or so.

Seal Release on 25th November 2016 Update - 26th November 2016 : Manatee along with Orca, Seal, Loris and Common seal pup Icy, were all released back to the wild at Gwithian Beach on 25th November 2016.
