Mac ´n´ Cheese, a 4 weeks old male grey seal pup, was rescued from Trevone near Padstow beach by members of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) marine mammal medics. He was underweight, high temperature with a slight respiratory infection and heat to his rear front flipper.

The pup was initially treated at the BDMLR seal unit and then transferred to the Sanctuary on 8th November 2022 to continue his treatment.

Update - 15th January 2023 : It is always a good day when the Animal Care Team return the rescued seal pups back into the wild where they belong, but at the same time it is a bit emotional saying goodbye after being with them for the past 2-3 months.   Mac ´n´ Cheese along with Barles, Tony Jalapeño, Wasabi and Nagi were released back into the wild on 13th January 2023 at Kennack Sands.
