Llama was rescued on 7th January 2017
Llama, female grey seal pup, was rescued on 7th January 2017 from the slipway at the Old Town Beach on the Isles of Scillies.

The pup was found with bite wounds to her rear fippers and tail.

Heike, Isles´ vet and assisted by volunteers of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) who tube feed the pup over the weekend and to fly her out on Monday morning (9th January 2017), fog permitted. The pup was then transported to the Seal Sanctuary for treatment and rehabilitation.

Seal Release - 27th March 2017 Update - 1st March 2017 : Llama is currently in nursery pool 2 and putting on lots of weight before being released back into the wild.

Llama´s flipper tag number is 331 (white).

Update - 31st March 2017 : Llama along with Hedgehog, Snow Leopard, Reindeer and Duck were all released back to the wild at Porthtowan beach on 27th March 2017.
