Limpet was rescued on 20th September 2021
Limpet is a male grey seal pup that was rescued from Widemouth Bay on 20th September by members of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) marine mammal medics.

He has a wound on his tail which he is currently on treatment for and he is being monitored by the team. When he is ready, he will moved down to the nursery pools outside for the next stage of his rehabilitation!

Limpet Update - 2nd October 2021 : Limpet is now in the outside nursery pool number 4 with another rescued seal pup named Narwhal.

He needs to learn how to socialise and compete for his food, after which he can be moved to the larger rehabilitation pool.

Limpet Update - 22nd October 2021 : Limpet was sharing one of the nursery pools with another rescued seal pup but he kept eating all the fish, so he has been moved into this pool on his own for the time being. He currently weighs 32kgs.

Limpet´s flipper ID tag number is SL101 (white).

Update - 5th November 2021 : Limpet along with Narwhal were released back into the wild at Dollar Cove on 4th November 2021.
