Leon was rescued on 31st January 2018

Leon, 10 weeks old male seal pup, was rescued on 31st January 2018 from Porthcurno by some members of
British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) team.
The pup was taken and treated at one of BDMLR´s holding facilities until a hospital pen became available at Gweek on 14th February 2018.
This pup had a short course of antibiotics for some superficial wounds and on treatment for a respiratory infection.

Update - 25th February 2018 : Leon is currently in the hospital pen number 2. He weighs 23.5kgs.
Leon´s flipper tag number is 368 (green).

Update - 29th April 2018 : Leon along with Valentine, Isabel, Towan, Hugh and Basset, were released back into the wild on 23rd April 2018 at Porthtowan beach.

Update - 1st June 2018 : Leon has been seen along the coast of Cornwall by members of the Cornwall Seal Group Research Trust (CSGRT) on 14th, 17th & 28th May 2018 and 1st August 2020.
