Jambalaya, a female grey seal pup, was rescued on 5th February 2021 from Harlyn Bay by marine mammal medics from the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR).
She was rescued due to ruckly breathing, a cough and being very underweight, weighing just 10.5kg.
The pup was taken to one of the BDMLR´s holding facilities and stayed there until a pen became available on 10th February 2021 at the Sanctuary´s seal hospital.

British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) Volunteer marine mammal medics will be sent out to monitor the pup for a period of time and as a very last resort, may rescue the pup depending on the circumstances.
