Indiana Jones was rescued on 2nd December 2018
Indiana Jones, 6-8 weeks old male seal pup, was rescued on 2nd December 2018 from St Ives Bay by members of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) Medics. He was found malnourishment, ulcers in his eyes and a small wound on his front right flipper.

The pup was taken and treated with antibiotics and anti-inflammatories at one of BDMLR´s holding facilities until a hospital pen became available at Gweek on 7th December 2018.

Indiana Jones Update - 28th December 2018 : Indiana Jones is now in the nursery pool for his next stage of rehabilitation and to learn how to compete for fish with other seals.

Indiana Jones´s flipper tag ID number is 334 (red).
Update - 14th February 2019 : Indiana Jones was released back into the wild at Porthtowan on 12th February 2019 along with other rescued pups named Morrissey, Goonies, Mr T, The Shining, Walkman and Mullet.

Seal Release
Update - 1st April 2019 : Indiana Jones was seen at a local haul-out along the west coast of Cornwall on 25th March 2019, by members of the Cornwall Seal Group Research Trust who volunteer hundreds of hours of their own time to photo, identify, carry out surveys, monitor and watch over the seals around the Cornish coast.
