Hot Potato was rescued on 19th February 2016
Hot Potato, approx. 8-10 weeks old male grey seal pup, was rescued on 21st February 2016 from Coverack beach by Zoe, a member of the Animal Care Team.

He weighed in at 23.5kgs with a high temperature, ruckly mouth-breathing, a snotty nose, and a few minor superficial wounds on his flippers and nose. The pup was prescribed a course of antibiotics and respiratory medication.

Update - 24th March 2016 : Hot Potato is doing well and feeding for himself. As soon as he is off the medication, Hot Potato will be moved to the outside nursery pool with the other rescued pups.
Hot Potato Update - 22nd May 2016 : Hot Potato is now in the final stage of his rehabilitation and will be released back into the wild in the next few weeks.

Hot Potato´s flipper tag number is 108 (blue).

Update - 30th May 2016 : Early in the morning of the 27th May 2016 Hot Potato along with Shogi and Jumanji were released back into the wild at Gunwalloe.
