Hope was rescued on 15th January 2019

Hope, 12 weeks old female seal pup, was rescued on 15th January 2019 from Gunwalloe by Zoe and Laura, members of the Animal Care Team.
This pup had a large net entanglement wound around her neck. Weighed 23kgs.
The net was removed at the seal hospital and the vet prescribed a course of antibiotics to treat the infected wound.

Update - 23rd February 2019 : Hope is now looking much brighter, her neck wound has healed very nicely.
She is currently in the outside convalescent pool going through her final stages of rehabilitation at the Sanctuary before being released back in to the wild in the next month or so.
Flipper tag ID number is 354 (red).

Hope was released back into the wild on 19th March 2019 at Porthtowan beach along with Cher, Cyndi Lauper, Pet Shop Boys, Karma Chameleon and Pamela Anderson.
