Hex was rescued on 31st October 2015
Hex, a male grey seal pup, was rescued from Wanson beach in Bude by members of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue team on the 31st October 2015.

He weighed a healthy 20kgs had a few puncture wounds on his body and rear flippers, also had a high temperature.
Update - 30th November 2015 : Hex was moved to the outside nursery pools on 10th November 2015. He was then moved into convalescent pool on 18th November 2015 for his next stage of rehabilitation and to learn how to compete for fish with other rescued seal pups and the resident seals during feeding time.
Hex Update - 1st January 2016 : Hex is currently in the convalescent pool. His flipper tag number 60 (blue).

Update - 3rd May 2016 : Hex along with Labrinth, Solitaire, Articulate, Cribbage and Guess Who have completed their rehabilitation at the Seal Sanctuary and were released back into the wild on 27th April 2016 at Gwithian.
Update - 1st June 2016 : A week after Hex was released back to the wild, he was seen on 5th May 2016 enjoying being amongst the adult seals by Sue Sayer a member of Cornwall Seal Group Research Trust (CSGRT). Hex was also seen a few weeks later on 16th May 2016.
