Hemera was rescued on the 23rd March 2015 from Overstrand near Cromer. She is approx. 3-4 months old and currently weighs 20kgs. Hemera was reported by a member of the public who seemed to be quite concerned for her well-being.
On closer inspection it was clear to the Animal Care Team that she needed some form of medical attention as she has quite a bad injury to rear flipper, leaving it swollen and infected. She also has a case of worms that needs to be treated.

She has already started her medication to treat her problems and she has also decided to eat for herself, which is great news for the Animal Care Team!
Once she has fully recovered and reached release weight, she can then return to the wild.
