The Grinch was rescued on 12th February 2016
The Grinch, a grey seal pup, was rescued from Mundesley beach on 12th February 2016 after a concerned member of the public contacted the Council. Once again volunteer Stephanie came to the rescue and went to assess the situation.

It was obvious the little seal needed some help so she was brought into the hospital. At only 14kgs The Grinch is very underweight (she should weigh more than twice this!) and on checking her over it looks like she has a case of lungworm too.

The Grinch With lots of attention from the Animal Care Team, hopefully the pup will make a full recovery and be returned to the wild later this year.

Update - 28th February 2016 : Photo above and left of The Grinch were taken on 27th February 2016, in the hospital´s pen No. 3.

Update - 10th April 2016 : The Grinch has sadly passed away; it is always very sad when one of the rescued pups dies but sometimes these little ones just don´t have enough anti-bodies and strength in them to pull through, despite the best efforts of all the staff at Hunstanton SEA LIFE Sanctuary.
