Fajita was rescued on 11th April 2021
Fajita, a 4-5 months old male grey seal pup, was rescued from Tintagel on 11th April 2021 by marine mammal medics from the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR). He was found with suspected respiratory infection and was malnourished. Also had a really high worm burden in his stomach.

The pup was taken to one of the BDMLR´s holding facilities and stayed there until a pen became available on 26th April 2021 at the Sanctuary´s seal hospital.

Fajita
Fajita Update : 16th May 2021 - Fajita is currently in the hospital pen number 2, the next week or so, he will be moved down to the outside nursery pools for his next stage of rehabilitation. He currently weighs 20kgs.

His flipper tag ID number is SL152 (green).

Update : 21st June 2021 - Fajita is now in the outside nursery pool number 3. He is still on medication for a heavy worm infestation that made his stomach very sore. Once Fajita is well again and has put on the ideal weight of 30kgs, he can be released back into the wild! He currently weighs 21.5kgs.

Fajita Update - 1st August 2021 : Fajita currently weighs 28.5kgs and will be released back to the wild soon.

Update : 20th September 2021 - Fajita along with Jurgen, Merry and Taco have completed their rehabilitation and were released back into the wild on 15th September 2021 at Dollar Cove.
