Elf was rescued on 8th December 2019
Elf, 6 weeks old male grey seal pup, was rescued on 8th December 2019 from Carbis Bay by members of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) Medics.

This pup was brought into the Seal Sanctuary for rehabilitation because he was severely malnourished weighing only 10.5kgs. He also had a scratched to his eye and a small puncture wound.

Elf Update - 31st December 2019 : Elf is currently in the hospital putting on lots of weight. He will soon be moved down to the nursery pools in the next week or so. He now weighs 15kgs.

Flipper tag ID number is SL128 (yellow).

Update - 1st February 2020 : Elf is now in the rehab pool and needs to put on a few more kilos before he is released back into the wild in the next month or so. He currently weighs 23kgs.

Update - 6th March 2020 : Elf along with Piglet, Horrid Henry, Pippi Longstocking, Lisbeth, Stig and Alice in Wonderland, have completed their rehabilitation and were released back into the wild on 2nd March 2020 at Dollar Cove.
