Dasher was rescued on 22nd January 2016 Dasher, a grey seal pup, was rescued after a dog walker found her stranded in the sea defences in Hunstanton. A member of the Animal Care Team, Natalie, and the Sanctuary´s General Manager, Nigel, rushed from the Sperm Whale rescue to attend to Dasher, who at 13kgs was very underweight and looking very skinny. Update - 31st January 2016 : Thankfully Dasher is now eating well and has gained a kilo in the lest week. She will join the other rescued pups in the outdoor pool as soon as she reaches 20kgs. Update - 28th February 2016 : Here is the latest photo of Dasher taken on 27th February 2016, she is still in the hospital´s pen number 4. Click here to see a larger photo of this. Update - 12th April 2016 : This photo of Dasher in the outside seal pool was taken on 10th April 2016. She currently weighs 40kgs. Dasher´s flipper tag number is 165 (blue). Dasher along with Dancer, Princess Peach, Prancer, Comet and Buddy have been rehabilitated over the last few months and were released at Snettisham beach back into the sea where they belong on 11th April 2016.
