It´s understood that someone drew this heart around the pup before BDLMR attended, which is why the Cornish Seal Sanctuary and the BDLMR are reminding people to steer clear of pups as this behaviour can cause serious problems.

Curry a 4 weeks old male grey seal pup was rescued on 10th September 2022 from St Ives bay by members of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) marine mammal medics.
The pup was very skinny and weak with some infected bite wounds to his flippers and body. He was prescribed a course of antibiotics and anti-inflammatories.
