Crossword was rescued on 22nd May 2016
This approximately five months old seal pup was rescued by Simon and Dave, members of the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) team and Cornwall Seal Group Research Trust (CSGRT), on 22nd May 2016 from Trevaunance Cove in St Agnes.

The pup was found to have a series of minor bite wounds and cuts and scrapes to her flippers, and was running a temperature.

Crossword The pup was transported to the Cornish Seal Sanctuary for treatment and rehabilitation. Members of the Animal Care Team named this pup Crossword in keeping with this rescue season´s (2015/16) board games names.

Update - 9th July 2016 : Crossword has completed her rehabilitation and was returned to the wild at Gwithian on 6th July 2016.
Flipper tag number is 112 (blue).
