Cornish Pasty, a small male whitecoat pup, was picked up on 21st September 2020 at around two weeks old weighing 16.5kgs.

The RNLI took a boat out and confirmed that no mother could be seen in the wider vicinity, so in light of the fact it was highly unlikely mum would return to the busy beach at Trevaunance Cove (where he was found high up on the tideline at the entrance to the beach), British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) marine mammal medics took the decision to uplift him for rehabilitation.

British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) Volunteer marine mammal medics will be sent out to monitor the pup for a period of time and as a very last resort, may rescue the pup depending on the circumstances.
